(VCR stands for Vecchio Clone Risanato)
Old Clone Restored with the micrograft technique. Seedless table and juice fruit, very juicy pulp, intense orange peel and prominent navel
The term Navel orange generically indicates a variety of orange that has a twin fruit inside the peel. It looks like a defect, a malformation and instead this is the peculiar characteristic that distinguishes this variety of orange.
The Navel orange therefore hides inside another small orange, with a barely hinted profile, almost as if it were a twin, located at the opposite pole with respect to the petiole, trapped in the rind.
The navel orange has no seeds and even comes from sterile flowers.
This variety is very juicy and is characterized by a low degree of acidity thanks to a fine grain of its segments which give it an acidity/sugar content ratio in favor of sweetness. It has no seeds and is ideal both to eat it in wedges and for very tasty juices.
Therefore, all Navel oranges are inimitable for their sweetness and for the level of acidity so low as to be recommended even for those suffering from intestinal disorders. The list of beneficial properties of this fruit is quite long: antioxidant, detoxifying, diuretic, digestive, antihemorrhagic and protective qualities of blood vessels.
Navel oranges are particularly appreciated for their vitamin C content and high mineral salt content. In fact, vitamin C and the flavonoids it contains strengthen the immune system and protect against free radicals.
In short, a juice a day is the effective natural remedy against flu and seasonal colds and beyond. In fact it is also a valid prevention of the onset of more serious pathologies, such as rheumatic pain and angina.
Even the use in the kitchen is increasingly appreciated. The organoleptic qualities of Navel make it a sought-after ingredient for the preparation of colorful aperitifs and appetizing hors d'oeuvres, gourmet first and second courses, as well as quick desserts. And even those who care about maintaining perfect skin can take advantage of the advantages of Navel oranges: this citrus fruit is in fact a natural and anti-aging tonic and has fabulous effects against dullness and wrinkles on the face.
Over 70% of the clementines produced in Italy are produced in Calabria. 90% of Calabrian clementines are harvested in the Sibari plain.
Clementines are seedless, have an intense orange color, a decisive juiciness, easy peeling, a wealth of mineral salts and other nutraceutical compounds.
With multiple beneficial properties and rich in vitamin C, clementines allow, in the coldest period of the year, to make an important supply of this important vitamin to strengthen the immune system.
Preferred by children, in addition to eating them fresh, they lend themselves very well to the preparation of tasty desserts, jams, juices and with their peel you can make a tasty liqueur.
The Calabrian lemons are characterized by their oblong spherical shape, the yellow skin rich in essential oils, the excellent aroma and the generally very tart and juicy pulp. The Calabrian lemon has the right balance between aromatic substances and acidity of the juice and has few seeds.
Calabrian lemons are used in various preparations: in the kitchen, they are best appreciated on first and second courses based on both fish and meat. Also excellent for the preparation of cocktails and drinks or as an ingredient for the preparation of typical liqueurs such as limoncello. Their juice is particularly suitable for the preparation of sweets, sorbets and ice creams. The peel can be used in drinks such as tea, tonic water or drinks.
We know that we have not done any treatment and that we have not given any chemical products to our plants: our fruits are the simple consequence of a natural process free from any chemical residue, so it is perhaps less beautiful, but certainly healthier.
We wanted to have an authorized laboratory carry out the analyzes of the residues, in order to be able to produce experimental evidence: the test report of the analyzes performed on our citrus fruits lists as many as 278 active substances of synthetic origin or derived from natural products, including herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, plant growth regulators and repellents.
The residue analysis determines the residual content of the active substance in the analyzed product. The maximum residue limits legally permitted in or on food products intended for human or animal consumption are calculated on the basis of good agricultural practices, without prejudice to the principle of consumer exposure as low as possible to protect the most vulnerable consumers.
The document highlights that no substance has been detected experimentally.
Nothing was detected: our fruit and plants are free from any chemical products.
