I want to tell you a story

It was a sunny March afternoon a few years ago.

I was in the kennel to get a little dog, Tigrotto, who I had found injured on the street and had been taken there.

Although I love dogs so much that I already have five of them in my house, all foundlings, I had never entered into a kennel.

While Tigrotto and I were walking in the small meadow, behind me a deafening barking coming from the approximately 1000 dogs present in the boxes from which, most of them, would never come out.

That barking penetrated my heart hurting me a lot and tears came out of my eyes for the excruciating pain I felt.

Heartbroken, I turned to my God, creator and Lord of all creation and of all creatures:

Lord help me to help these creatures of yours, help me to find homes for many many many dogs and bless with your extraordinary presence the home of those who will welcome them, I place my life, my intelligence, my hands, my feet at your disposal , my lips, my money, so that You can feed and save many dogs, and at the same time sow knowledge of You.

 

It was a chat with God, a chat that came from a truly weeping heart: a sincere request, mine. Since then my life has never been the same:

many dogs have found and continue to find a home,

many new friends for me throughout Italy and also in Switzerland,

many friends have heard from my lips speak of God.

 

About 4 years ago I began to dream of an oasis: I prayed, and am still praying, for it:

an oasis of welcome for all men and creatures, where everything was done with respect for nature, an oasis whose true lord was Jesus…

The Oasis of the Good Jesus

Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to  [Matthew 7:7]

...Here is the name it will have.

 

Finally, in June 2020, "the first stone" was laid: I bought a small piece of land where there are orange and olive trees.

At the moment my family and I are working the land with our hands: we have collected the small fragrant round olives, from which we have extracted a fine extra virgin olive oil, we are dedicating ourselves to the home preparation of jams and extracts produced exclusively with the fruits of our little oasis.

I'm sure that work for building my refuge will begin as soon as possible, which will welcome the many dogs that I already look after.

This is not just "my" dream, but it is God's dream.
